The latest version of Ubuntu available at this point of time is Ubuntu 9.10,code named as Karmic Kola. The good thing about Ubuntu is that its developers 'Canonical Software' releases new versions of Ubuntu every six months and supports Ubuntu for eighteen months by providing security fixes, patches to critical bugs and minor updates to the program.

The word 'Ubuntu' has African origin and it means 'Humanity to others' or 'I am what I am because of who we all are.'

The new version of Ubuntu i.e. Ubuntu 10.04 is round the corner and it is scheduled to be released somewhere at the end of April 2010. Although the Beta version of the software is already available. Looking forward for a great Ubuntu experience.
